Brian and Kerry McFadden in Crisis                                                     19:00

Reports of yet another celebrity marriage in crisis
Pop star Brian McFadden is apparently battling to save his  marriage aftera number of rows wife Kerry.
The chart-topping singer has flown home from a tour date to try  and sort out the couples problems.
According to a report in the news of the world Kerry is lonely  and fed up with not seeing her heart-throb husband because of  his touring schedule.
Brian’s career has taken off since he left Westlife in March and  he recently shot to No1 in the charts with his debut single Real To  Me.
But the downside is he's hardly been at home with I’m A Celeb  Get Me Out of Here winner Kerry and their two children Molly,  three, and Lilly Sue, one.
Last night Brian admitted the marriage was in difficulty, just saying  "It's not right...it's not right."
A source close to the couple told the newspaper that the couple  were going through a rocky patch, there's no doubt about that.
Kerry thought that after leaving Westlife Brian would be at home  with her and the kids like one big happy family. That hasn't  happened the source went on to say.
Yesterday Brian flew back from a performance in Sweden to talk  things through with 24-year-old Kerry.
A pal was quoted as saying, Brian wants to sort this out and so  does Kerry. They have things to talk about and are determined to  patch up what is a very strong and loving marriage.
The couple's spokesman, PR guru Max Clifford, said last night:  "Yes, there have been a few problems, but they are getting it  together and talking it through over this weekend.

 E-gon missing                                                                19:00

WESTLIFE nearly lost another band member before performing at the World  Music Awards.
The worried lads were held up for more than ten minutes because KIAN EGAN  had somehow got lost backstage.
 Very SPINAL TAP.
A search party was launched to search the maze of corridors for the star. It  transpired Kian had taken a wrong turning and was completely lost.
A source said: "There was a bit of a panic after the other three lads went on and  then realised Kian wasn't with them.
"Assistants were sent out and they found him wandering aimlessly around. He was  very pleased to see them and was led back to the stage."
The lads went on to perform as a four piece in the European slot.
WESTLIFE's MARK FEEHILY wasn't heading straight to the card tables when  he touched down in Las Vegas - he hasn't a clue how to gamble. He sheepishly  asked me: "I'm not sure how to play cards. Do they have snap?"

The first tourdates for 2005                                         19:00

On the official site of the Odyssey Arena in Belfast it says that Westlife will be  playing there on February 1st - 2nd.
Tickets will go onsale this saturday, 25-09-04 at 8.00 pm. Price per ticket will be  31.50 Pounds.

 Scorn In The USA                                                        19:00

It was supposed to be their big chance to crack America. But Westlife have been  left fuming after they were shunted from a prime spot at last night's celeb-studded  World Music Awards in Las Vegas.
The band were supposed to perform a set as part of the main ceremony - which is  televised in more than 160 countries.
But when they arrived in Sin City the boys learned that their set would take place  after the main ceremony - and would not be included in the main live broadcast.
And to add insult to injury, a plan for the band to be part of a presentation  honouring veteran music svengali Clive Davis with a Lifetime Achievement Award  at the bash, held at the Thomas & Mack Center, also came to nothing.
"Eyebrows were raised when it was said that Westlife were going to be a big part  of the ceremony as they're not well known in the US," an awards insider tells us.
"Obviously the lads are hugely disappointed to miss out on taking part in the main  show.
"They were so thrilled to be asked to perform alongside the likes of Alicia Keys  and Usher, and really thought this was their chance to appeal to a huge  international audience.
After Brian McFadden left, a lot of people thought the band's days were  numbered and even though they're very much together they still want to prove the  doubters wrong - this would have been the ideal platform from which to do that."
The band - aka Kian Egan, 24, Shane Filan, 25, Nicky Byrne, 26, and  24-year-old Mark Feehily - have been holed up in Vegas's swanky Four Seasons  hotel with their partners and have barely ventured out.
And although they attended Clive Davis's private drinks reception, the lads failed  to go on to the main dinner in his honour - even though the likes of Usher and Avril  Lavigne showed up.
Our insider adds: "The band have a video to shoot out in Vegas for their Ratpack  album but this has really thrown a dampener over the whole trip.
"They usually love a good party and everyone expected them to be out on the  town but that hasn't happened.
"They feel as though they were promised the Earth but their performance will only  be seen by countries that request a broadcast with them in it - and there's every  likelihood the only people that will see them perform will be back home in their  native Ireland.
"Obviously, communications have broken down somewhere - their involvement  was oversold but, at the end of the day, it's a great place for them to network."
Let's hope your luck improves in the casinos, lads...

 Westlife are back!                                                       19:00

The boys are back - with the new album "Allow Us To Be Frank". It contains of  old Frank Sinatra Songs, which were composed by Mister Sinatra and his Rat  Pack Friends. These amazing hits will get a new and unique sound by Westlife.  The lads have worked on it very hard and long and the result is incredible!
At this very moment the guys are shooting the video for the first single release  "Smile" in Las Vegas.
The album will be out on November 8 so allow them to be Frank.

Westlife take a plunge with Moon River                20:00

Westlife's first single from their new retro album will be Moon River, the Henry Mancini classic made famous by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's.
Nicky Byrne revealed to the Diary that the new CD will also feature Clementine and Ain't That A Kick In The Head.
It's the latest step in the band's strategy to stay at the top of the  charts by gradually changing their sound to appeal to a more mature audience.  Already, they are one of the biggest-selling acts in the history of their label, BMG -  amazingly, in just six years, they have shifted one-third as many albums as Elvies  Presley sold in half-a-century (and, indeed, at one stage, it seemed as if ex-Lifer  Brian McFadden had eaten one-third of the King's legendary deep-fried  peanut-butter sandwiches, too).
Up to 2003, Elvis had sold 60 million records. Westlife have sold 20 million. The  band has already equalled the Beatles' record of 12 No.1 singles in Britain.
This week, the boys have been putting the finishing touches to their version of  Moon River, a chart hit in 1961 for Dany Williams and, later, for Frank Sinatra,  Andy Williams and others. With Westlife's massive chart power, the song looks  set  to return to the top of the charts 43 years after it was first released.
The boys will also adopt a stylish new look, eschewing their recent rather grungy  image and bringing in impeccably tailored Rat Pack-style outfits.
'We have done the most amazing photo shoots for the album,' Nicky revealed, 'and  we even got tailors to hand-make our suits so they would look as original as  possible.'
The band and their record label are hoping to follow Robbie Williams, who sold  five million copies of his retro album, Swing When You're Winning, and newcomer  Michael Buble, known as the new Sinatra, who sold three million copies of his  debut album. Bubble, ironically, was briefly linked romantically to Nicky's  sister-in-law, Cecilia Ahern.
